Class Description:
The quick study offers benefits for the new or experienced student of clay modeling.
In this workshop we'll create half-life size portrait sketches in oil-based clay on wooden armatures. Working from life, we’ll create 2 sketches per day. Each sketch, we’ll work with a different model exploring the variation in features and proportions as well as some unique poses and expressions. Teaching methods will include demonstration, brief lectures and individual feedback.
The group will work in oil-based clay on wooden armatures. We will not cast the projects in class, but students are encouraged to do so independently.
